25 years ago, a group of dedicated community members came together with a simple but powerful idea: that local generosity, wisely invested, could build a stronger future for our community. That idea became the Osprey Community Foundation. Since 2000, we have been connecting people who want to give with causes that matter, right here in our community. Osprey continues to grow endowment funds that support local charities and initiatives year after year.

100 Years of Combined Community Building

The year 2025, marks significant milestones for both Osprey (25 years) and our long standing community partner, the Nelson & District Credit Union (75 years). To celebrate, NDCU and Osprey have pooled resources to create a fund matching opportunity.

Matching campaign – Help us raise 75K to invest 150K for future generations

Since 1950, Nelson & District Credit Union has been Enriching lives locally. And since 2000, the Osprey Community Foundation has been connecting people who want to give to causes that matter, right here in our community. Thanks to community members like yourself and your ongoing belief in our shared values, our community is stronger, our community is richer and our community is healthier.

Curious what that looks like? Check out the many grant recipients from previous years.

"I wanted to do something local, such as helping seniors in our hospital here, and the fund I chose was a good fit with what I wanted to do. The donation is also a memorial to my wife; it fulfilled her wishes too."
