This year’s Polka Dot Lantern Festival opened in a vibrant burst of colour and rhythm as Trinbagonian dancers and friends in brilliant red, winged costumes led the parade down Baker Street on the Friday night. This annual winter festival has become a true celebration of community connection year after year.
A group of seniors at Jubilee Manor browse through bins of books and library materials delivered right to their doorstep by a friendly, knowledgeable outreach librarian. Thanks to grant support, the library comes to them, turning an ordinary day into something warmly anticipated and deeply appreciated.

Local musician, Clinton Swanson’s saxophone clinic struck all the right notes this year, wowing a host of SD8 students. Thanks to the Selkirk Concert Society’s Youth Engagement Project, sounds of live jazz music filled the hallways, inspiring youth to be curious about instruments, music programs and the lives of professional musicians.
These stories highlight the vital role Osprey grants play each year here in Nelson, providing support to create meaningful experiences that help build healthy, vibrant communities.
