Cottonwood Lake Preservation Society Legacy Fund

Cottonwood Lake Preservation Society was formed with the goal of raising funds to purchase and preserve 49 hectares of private land slated for logging above Cottonwood Lake. In 2022, enough funds were raised and the land was purchased and ownership was transferred to the Nature Conservancy of Canada.

With the remaining funds, the Society established the Cottonwood Lake Preservation Society Legacy Fund and the generated income will support activities that foster ecological and environmental education and preservation.

"At a time when we are bombarded with evidence that the natural world is crippling under the weight of what some call progress, it’s never been more critical to protect and preserve what little is left."
