Apply for a Grant

GRANTS UPDATE: Our 2020 Community Grants schedule remains unchanged; however, priority will be given to those applications that address isolated and vulnerable community members. Neighbourhood Small Grants have been postponed until September 2020.

Is your organization planning an exciting project within the next year that would really benefit the community if only you were able to access some funding? Is yours a charitable organization, or can you enlist the support of a charity willing to sponsor your project? If so, we invite you to submit an application for a grant from the Osprey Community Foundation. While much of the funds generated within the Foundation are already targeted by donors for specific charitable purposes, we also have several funds that generate income we can use more generally for community granting.

This year, Osprey Community Foundation is offering four types of grants.

  1. General Community Grants– Community Grants for charitable programs and projects. Deadline: Monday April 6th, 4pm. Please note that preference will be given to those applications that isolated and vulnerable community members.
  2. BC Festival of the Arts Legacy Fund Grants – Grants from a fund specifically designated for supporting artists. Each year a different discipline is selected. (If your arts-related proposal doesn’t fall into this category, you may still apply for a General Community Grant.) In 2020 the discipline is Media Arts. Deadline: Monday April 6th, 4pm.
  3. Neighbourhood Small Grants – Neighbourhood Small Grants is based on a simple but powerful idea – that everyone is a valuable member of the community and that we all have something to share. We give grants from $50 to $500 to support projects that bring people together, share skills and knowledge, build a sense of belonging and responsibility, and respect and celebrate diversity. Have a great idea to bring people together in your neighbourhood? Apply for a grant and bring your idea to life!  Click here to find out morePostponed to September 2020.
