Actually, the Snoezelen is a multi-sensory environment that reduces agitation or engages and stimulates people with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Thanks to a grant from Osprey via the Friends of Nelson Elders, Mountain Lake Seniors Community residents have access to this leading edge Dutch therapy.

Vivien Bowers Moves On
We bid farewell to Vivien after 5 years as executive director and 8 years prior as an Osprey board member. She agreed to take on the E.D. job on an interim basis, and discovered she loved it. She’ll miss being ‘embedded’ in so many things going on in this incredible community.

Grants for Seniors Projects


Osprey has partnered with the local organization, Friends of Nelson Elders (FONE) to disburse small grants that enhance the lives and well-being of seniors in the Nelson area.
