The 2017 granting cycle is now closed. Information on 2018 grants will be posted in February.
Is your organization planning an exciting project within the next year that would really benefit the community if only you were able to access some funding? Is yours a charitable organization, or can you enlist the support of a charity willing to sponsor your project? If so, we invite you to submit an application for a grant from the Osprey Community Foundation. While much of the money generated within the Foundation is already spoken for, with donors specifying the use of the earnings, we also have several funds that generate income we can use more generally for community granting.
This year, Osprey Community Foundation is offering three types of grants.
- General Community grants–what most groups will be applying for.
- BC Festival of the Arts Legacy Fund Grants (or ‘Arts Legacy Fund’ grants)–grants from a fund specifically designated for supporting artists. Each year a different discipline is selected. (If your arts-related proposal doesn’t fall into this category, you may still apply for a general grant.) In 2017 the discipline is Theatre Arts.
- Community Fund for Canada’s 150th grants – A one-time only national initiative and collaborative effort seeded by the Government of Canada. More details on the CFC150 and how to apply can be found here. Please note: the Community Fund for Canada’s 150th has its own application process and you must apply via the link above.
To apply for a General Community or BC Festival of the Arts Legacy Fund grant, follow the steps below.
Please review the 2017 Granting Guidelines before applying for a General Community or Arts Legacy Fund grant. If you are applying for an Arts Legacy Fund grant, you will also need to review the 2017 Arts Legacy Fund Guidelines. (The same 2017 Grant Application form can be used for both General Community grants and Arts Legacy Fund grants.)
Fill in the application form. Submit your application, preferably e-mailed as an attachment with any other supporting material, to: firstname.lastname@example.org. If this is not possible, please mail or drop off (slip under the office door) a completed application form and supporting documents, postmarked by the March 31th, 2017 deadline, to:
